Biography
Genesis believes counseling should be a space where clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard. She is committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore what has been weighing on them and begin working toward meaningful change. Genesis understands that life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, especially during periods of stress, transition, or self-doubt, and she strives to make therapy a place where growth feels possible and empowering.
As a master’s-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern and graduate student at Liberty University, Genesis practices under the supervision of Mary Mousa, MA, NCC, LPC, CSAC. She takes a client-centered approach that integrates evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and tailors her work to each client’s unique needs, values, and goals.
Genesis enjoys working with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. She believes healing is an active and collaborative process that involves identifying unhelpful patterns, strengthening coping strategies, and building practical tools to navigate life with greater confidence and peace. For clients who desire it, faith can also be respectfully and thoughtfully incorporated into the counseling process.
